Cambridge Research Systems has developed the Harding FPA Broadcast Flash and Pattern Analyser using sophisticated image processing technology. It analyses material frame-by-frame, in real time, directly from most video sources. It verifies compliance with the ITC Guidelines on Flashing Images and Regular Patterns in Television, warns of any sequences likely to precipitate epileptic seizures (PSE), and promotes a safer television viewing environment.
The Harding FPA can be used to check material well in advance of transmission, even during production, so that you can be confident about meeting production deadlines. The information it provides allows greater creative flexibility: failing sequences can be dealt with straight away until they meet both creative and regulatory requirements. Results are displayed in either graphical or tabular form and can be printed with an accompanying compliance certificate.
